Edel O'Brien

The mezzo-soprano Edel O'Brien is one of twelve singers of the Young Artists Programme at the Centre de Formation Lyrique in the Opéra National de Paris, Opéra Bastille. Originally from Co. Clare, her repertoire as alto soloist includes Mozart's Requiem as well as works by Rossini, Stravinsky, Dvorak and Handel. Operatic roles that she has performed include Clarissa in Prokoviev's L'amour des Trois Oranges and La Frugola in Puccini's Il Tabarro. Her recital will include songs by Fauré, Barber and Benjamin Britten's arrangements of Moore's Melodies.
