East is East

Set in 1970s Britain, director Damien O’Donnell’s first feature film (1999) follows the often hilarious complexities of growing up in an Anglo-Pakistani family. George Khan, the father, expects his family to respect Muslim tradition but his children are more interested in flares and freedom inevitably leading to a rise in temperature.

The screening will be preceded by Wednesday’s Words, a short film by Romilly Walton Masters shot in the courtyard of the CCI.
