Having spent 20 plus years involved with music within Northern Ireland’s capital, she soon became an electronic music obsessive which quickly translated into addictively wide-ranging and vibrant DJ sets that proved her a fascinatingly unique voice within Ireland’s clubbing scene. She has featured at notable UK venues The Cause, Brilliant Corners, Sneaky Pete’s, Sub Club, La Cheetah, Meraki and Soup Kitchen while also performing memorable festival slots at Open Ear, Love International, Body & Soul, Another Love Story, All Together Now and AVA. Through Ponyhawke, she along with her partner, helmed a monthly club night at the Ulster Sports Club for the Queer underground. An inclusive space for the curious, outrageous & free spirits it was a vital outpost for alternative clubbing within Belfast and was one of the cities most cherished nights, recently ending on a high after 10 years. In late 2021 she founded record store Sound Advice Belfast in Banana Block’s multi-use warehouse space. It has become an essential community hub and outlet for artists from the city, while a maintaining a vital link to physical media. Forming shop offshoot night After Hours with friend and fellow dj Conor Schmtz, their aim is to dive headfirst into purist territory and showcase DJ’s that hold steadfast to their craft, their series of parties hopes to open some minds to those patient to join them for the ride. A seasoned professional, Marion has many strings to her bow, and not one to be pigeonholed to any one style.
