David Farrell's large colour images of 'innocent landscapes' in Ireland contain 'wild natural beauty and a sense of disturbance and violation'. These landscapes reinforce the natural order, by their primeval scream against the darkness of the secrets hidden within. The legacy that Ireland has known is contained within these images, which are so beautifully produced by David Farrell. Innocent Landcapes was awarded the European Publishers' Award for Photography in 2001.
