Cormac Boydell
Un esprit sauvage

He has developed new themes in these recent plates and sculptures: working out from the paintings of Matisse, particularly from the summers he spent in Collioure around 1905; looking at the special relationship that early Irish saints and mythical heroes had with the animal world, especially wolves; and landscape, particularly where imbued with the sacred as on Skellig Michael or in Notre-Dame de Paris.
