Founded in 1987, the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) in Dublin is home to the largest, most comprehensive collection of Irish traditional music, song, and dance in the world. We are delighted to welcome four members of the team who run ITMA to tell us more about their important work preserving, disseminating and promoting Irish traditional music. Talented practitioners in their own right - Iarlaith Mac Gabhann plays flute, Seán Potts is an uilleann piper, Sophie Ryan plays the harp and Bridie Flaherty is a dancer - they will enliven tonight's presentation with short performances.
On Saturday 24 May, Sophie Ryan will give a harp workshop at 11am. Reservation necessary, limited to ten musicians.
