Concert: Jeunes Talents
Limerick-born pianist Clíodna Shanahan, whose début CD is being launched this year, celebrates the centenary of Olivier Messiaen's birth with a performance of his Préludes. She will also perform Mozart's Rondo in A minor KV511.
A native of Killarney, soprano Patrice O'Connor is a graduate of Saint Patrick's College, Maynooth where she studied music and theology. She is currently in her final year of a post-Masters in the Performance Practice of Medieval Music at the Sorbonne. To date, she has studied with two of the most renowned performers and professors of medieval music in Europe: Katarina Livljanic and Benjamin Bagby.
