Happy Days Enniskillen International Beckett Festival presents
COMMENCEZ! Paris Beckett
This new multi-arts festival organised in partnership with CCI celebrates and explores Samuel Beckett's relationship to the city in which he lived and worked for most of his adult life.
Over sixteen days, sixteen Irish artists and theatre companies present their work at the CCI and in unusual spaces around areas of Paris most associated with the writer. This first programme focuses on the influence of Beckett's native land upon his writing and his constant movement between two languages, between original work and translation.
John Minihan, who took some of the most famous photographs of Beckett in Paris, will be artist-in-residence throughout the festival and based at Centre Culturel Irlandais. John will celebrate his 70th birthday during his residency in the city.
Some festival highlights will be announced in January with the programme in its entirety released in early February.
