While he was in residency at CCI during the Autumn of 2017, Adrian Crowley released his wonderful 8th opus entitled Dark Eyed Messenger. Often compared to that of Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen or Richard Hawley, the warmth and power of Crowley’s voice blends irresistibly with his minimalistic, graceful musical arrangements. Recorded in New York with American producer and musician Thomas Bartlett, aka Doveman (Sufjan Stevens, Martha Wainwright, The Magnetic Fields), ‘Dark Eyed Messenger’ is a masterful work of unwavering focus and beauty.
