Liam McCartan

Liam McCartan has a doctorate from the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queen's University
Belfast. A sound art curator and experimental electronic music composer, he has released an EP and three albums under the name Son Zept. His recent compositions further explore the role of memory in sound, fusing influences of hauntology, celtic music, holy minimalism and
power-ambient. During his residency, he will create field recordings of Paris and find musical objects to be used for sampling and synthesis in a series of works inspired by the city.

Liam will be hosting a musical after party for the Martin Parr opening on Thursday 10 November at 8pm.
