Eamon O’Kane

Originally from Belfast, visual artist Eamon O’ Kane lives and works in Denmark. A prolific artist, his work is formally diverse. His drawings include the Philosophy of Furniture and the Hybrid Series; his series of black and white paintings contrast some of his bold coloured acrylic canvasses. He has worked on and exhibited animation and photography projects. Describing himself as a process-based artist, Eamon O' Kane uses the interchange of media to influence the direction of his work. He has featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, and forms part of public and private collections both in Ireland and internationally. A recipient of the Fulbright Award, EV+A Open Award, Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, among others, the artist also researches and lectures in Fine Art. http://eamonokane.com/home.html
