Ursula Burke's work explores abuses of power in many realms of Western society and political systems. An immersive exhibition, ‘A False Dawn’ combines drawing, embroidery and porcelain sculpture in a truly unique manner.
At 6.30pm on the opening night, Ursula Burke will talk us through her exhibition.
The artist in residence Ailbhe Barrett will open her studio until 8pm, followed by an after party in the courtyard with musicians Ryan Vail & Elma Orkestra.
This event is part of the annual Week of Foreign Cultures organised by FICEP (Forum of foreign institutes in Paris) of which the CCI is a member. The theme for 2019 is “Les créatrices”; for details of the full programme running from 20 to 29 September, check the FICEP website.
