Éna Brennan

Éna Brennan is a Dublin-based composer, arranger, violinist and graphic designer, originally from Brussels. Since moving to Dublin she has obtained a BA in Music and Drama and an MPhil in Composition from Trinity College Dublin, and collaborated with a vast array of artists, weaving in between many of the layers of the Irish music scene. Her string quartet, Dowry Strings, has collaborated with artists such as Bell X1 and Christian Löffler on stages such as Ireland's National Concert Hall and Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Her compositions have been performed by Crash Ensemble, Kirkos Ensemble, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra and New Dublin Voices. In recent years she has become involved in the world of opera, writing a micro-opera for the Irish National Opera project "20 Shots of Opera". She is currently working on finishing a debut album of solo material.
Having grown up in Belgium, Éna would like to reconnect with her francophone roots by introducing the French language into her work. She will be focusing on new material in French to perform either as a soloist or for a choral of upper voices.
