William Dunleavy is an Irish writer and theatre-maker whose interests lie in making elements of post-dramatic and experimental theatre accessible to a wide audience. He is a founding member of the experimental theatre company tasteinyourmouth, whose work has been supported by the Arts Council, Dublin Fringe Festival, Corcadorca and Kilkenny Arts Festival.
While at the CCI, William will be polishing the second draft of a new play, The Gay Heterosexual, addressing the instability of identity, the abyss into which we fall without it and the destructive power of desire. It is influenced by French thinkers such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Frantz Fanon.
