Wayne Jordan

Wayne Jordan is a theatre director, writer and performer. He has worked extensively in Ireland, particularly in Dublin at the Abbey, Gate and Project theatres. He has made contemporary versions of classic drama, world premieres of new writing, original plays, devised dramas, experimental performances, musicals, operas, dance shows and performances for children. He has created or toured work in the UK, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway and Cuba.

During his residency, Wayne will spend time with the movies of French film-maker Eric Rohmer, while working on an original text inspired by the structures and rhythms of Rohmer’s work. Recently, Wayne has been working with ideas around space, borders, and the life of cities. His interest in Rohmer’s films and the focus of this residency are an extension of this work on mapping.
