Vincent Woods is a poet, playwright and broadcaster. His plays include John Hughdy/Tom John, Song of the Yellow Bittern and At the Pig’s Dyke, which have been produced by Druid Theatre Company and The Abbey Theatre. His two collections of poetry are The Colour of Language (1994) and Lives and Miracles (2002). A recipient of the P.J. O’Connor Award, the M.J McManus Award for Poetry, and The Stewart Parker Award for Drama, he is a member of Aosdána. He continues to work as a radio broadcaster, presenting the in-depth arts and culture programme Arts Tonight, and guest presenting Rattlebag and The Eleventh Hour.
