Vanessa Lee Jones

Vanessa Jones is in residence at the CCI for three months as the recipient of the 2021 RDS Mason Hayes & Curran LLP Award. She graduated from the National College of Art & Design last year with a first-class honours Master of Fine Art degree. A figurative painter, Vanessa’s practice explores feminine themes using self-portraiture and different persona that inhabit familiar yet unknown landscapes.

While in Paris, she is exploring on a body of work centred around the repetition of the enclosed garden and self-portraiture as well as researching the Unicorn Tapestries in collaboration with French tapestry artist Bettina Saroyan.
