Suzanne Clarke
September — October 2023
Suzanne Clark began as a sculptor before delving into archaeology and art history at Trinity College Dublin. She then launched her craft business and benefited from the guidance of a master soap maker. Today, she collaborates with various artisans in Ireland to create unique products, inspired by historical soap recipes, craft techniques, and shaving tools. Her passion for heritage and learning has led her to design custom designs, such as soaps for design boutiques and candles for whiskey distilleries.
Currently, her project at the Centre Culturel Irlandais is to deepen her research in Paris, exploring museums, markets, and perfume emporiums to enrich her understanding of bathing items and perfumes. Her ultimate goal is to create a library of smells and design simple objects for everyday use.
