Sue Rynhart

Vocalist and composer Sue Rynhart's debut album 'Crossings' (Songs for Voice & Double Bass) with Dan Bodwell was nominated 'Best Jazz Album' in the Irish Times Ticket Awards 2014, and her new album 'Signals' is currently receiving international critical acclaim.

While at the CCI, Sue will develop a collection of songs inspired by short stories of the Gothic genre. The songs will look at themes of cats, hauntings, witches, postpartum psychosis, isolation, renewal and empowerment and will uncover the role of gender, nature, music and the setting of atmosphere in the gothic short story.
