Sonia Shiel

Sonia Shiel’s installations, often composed of paintings, sculpture and video, explore the propensity of art to be effective in the real world, while pitching mankind’s most earnest endeavours against their odds. She has had a number of solo shows in recent years in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Helsinki and Berlin. She has been the recipient of a number of awards as well as international residencies.
