Writer-in-residence Sean Hardie is a former journalist with the BBC. He worked in current affairs before branching into comedy, to co-create the satirical ‘Not The Nine O’clock News’ and become the Head of Entertainment with BBC Scotland. He has written, produced and directed a host of award-winning television in the UK and Ireland , such as ‘Bremner Bird and Fortune’ and ‘The Lenny Henry Show’, as well as publishing three novels The Last Supper, Right Connections and Till the Fat Lady Sings. He has also written a screenplay, a radio documentary, ‘Storyhouses’ and a collection of one act plays. Among his many accolades are a BAFTA, a U.S Emmy Award, and the Broadcasting Press Guild Award.
