Róisín Loughrey

Róisín Loughrey is an award-winning filmmaker and artist. Her films have been shown in Ireland and abroad including MoMA New York and various international festivals, galleries and screenings.

Her residency at the CCI will be researching the Great Flood of Paris 1910, when the Seine’s water level rose eight metres above its normal level, bursting its banks and flooding the city. Using video, photography and sound, FLOOD explores seismic events, both environmental and personal, the ways in which catastrophe lingers in our collective and individual psyches and how our past informs our future.
