Polly Devlin is a writer, broadcaster and film maker. She was born in a remote area in Northern Ireland in the 1940s. Her first book All of Us There is now a Virago Modern Classic; her last book was A Year in the Life of an English Meadow In 1993 she received an OBE for services to literature. She is currently an adjunct Professor at Barnard College, Columbia University, New York. She is working on a book about Irish history at the end of the 16th century and also on a book about New York houses. http://www.pollydevlin.com/
