Phillip McMahon

Phillip McMahon is a playwright and director based in Dublin. He is co-director of theatre company, and cultural juggernauts, THISISPOPBABY. His most recent play, Once Before I Go, played at The Gate Theatre Dublin and went on to be added to Ireland's secondary school curriculum. The play will be studied by students sitting their Leaving Certificate in 2025. As part of his residency at the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Phillip will work on a new text for performance as well as a series of essays that look at life in Ireland from a queer working class perspective.
