Nick Roth

Nick Roth is a saxophonist, composer, producer and educator. His work explores the liberation of improvisation from composition, the impact of natural form on technology and the contemporary interpretation of traditional music. Nick has performed with and composed for some of the world's leading contemporary artists from across a wide spectrum of musical disciplines. He is the artistic director of Yurodny, artistic co-director of Sefiroth and a founding member of the Water Project, as well as a director at Diatribe Records, Ireland’s leading independent record label for new music. In 2014 he will be Artist-in-Residence at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris, where he will be composing a new work for the Irish Chamber Orchestra based on the study of forest canopy ecology.
