Méabh ní Bheaglaoich

Méabh ní Bheaglaoich is an accordion player, singer, songwriter and composer from the renowned Begley family of Baile na bPoc on the Corca Dhuibhne peninsula in West Kerry. Her locality, and its people, have unequivocally shaped her energetic instrumental playing, emotive and sensitive singing style, and have nurtured her development as a passionate composer and songwriter.

Throughout her residency Méabh will compose songs and tunes, taking inspiration from the links between the Amhrán Grá and the Chanson d’Amour in the Irish and French folk song traditions respectively.
