Moira Tierney

Brooklyn-based filmmaker Moira Tierney is originally from Dublin. She is a graduate of UCD and l’Ecole Nationale D’Arts de Cergy-Paris where she studied Fine Art. In 1998 she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship at the Anthology Film Archives in New York. Using Super-8mm and 16mm film, her work has been internationally screened at the Fondation Cartier, the Reina Sofia Museum and at film festivals from London to Rio de Janeiro. Her films include the sequence American Dreams and Liberty Kids. Anthology Film Archives and L’Alternativa have screened retrospectives of her work, as audio-visual dialogues between voice and image.
