Michael Hanna

Based in Belfast, Michael Hanna is an artist whose work uses affective experience to explore connections between psychology, physicality and society. He completed a BA in Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art in 2009 and MFA at Ulster University in 2012.

His residency at the CCI will help him to go further in his research for the Utopia Project, which is a body of work which will mix fiction, academic Utopian (and dystopian) research and thinking, as well as real-world attempts at utopia. A stay in Paris which would also be leading to site-research trips in France.
