Mary O’Malley

Mary O’Malley’s poetry collections include Where the Rocks Float (1993), The Knife in the Wave (1997), Asylum Road (2001) and The Bowing Hall (2002). She is the winner of the Hennessey Award and the O’ Shaughnessey Award for her poetry. Her work draws deep connections with allusions to and rhythms of Irish music and jazz. She is an organiser of the Literary Festival Cúirt and serves on the board of Poetry Ireland, as well as working as a broadcaster with RTE. She continues to teach at the National University of Ireland in Galway and is a member of Aosdána.
