Writer Mary Costello’s stories have been published in various anthologies and literary journals, including The Faber Anthology of New Irish Writing (2013), and have been broadcast on RTE and BBC radio. Her first book, a collection of short stories entitled The China Factory (2012), was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award and the Irish Book Awards. Her first novel Academy Street is published this year and she will be working on her second, A Beautiful Loan, while on residency at the CCI.
