Kate is a Dublin-based visual artist, trained in Limerick, Madrid, New York and Japan, and a member of The Graphic Studio, Dublin. Her work is exhibited around Ireland, and overseas, both in public and private collections. She has also participated in many commissions and residencies.
During her residency at CCI, she will be working on a series of pieces through the application of the Edo-period Japanese water-based woodblock printing technique called Mokuhanga, which she brings into the contemporary context by focusing on colour gradation, movement, sound, pitch and texture.
