Jean O’Brien

Dublin-born award-winning poet Jean O’Brien studied Creative Writing at Trinity College Dublin. She then moved on the publish four poetry collections, including The Shadow Keeper and Merman, and several chapbooks. She also gives lectures and workshops, and is a founding member of Dublin Writers’ Workshop. She explores themes of family and personal relationships, encompassed with the wider context of historical and contemporary events.

During her residency at CCI, she will explore five tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn from the Musée de Cluny, dealing with love and desire, in order to draw inspiration and new interpretations from them.
