Henrietta McKervey has published four novels, her fifth, The Woman in the Water, inspired by a ‘lost’ character in Daphne du Maurier’s suspense classic Rebecca, will be published in spring 2026. She is working on her sixth, a historical suspense set in the 1940s. She has a Hennessy First Fiction Award and won the inaugural Maeve Binchy Travel Award while studying for an MFA in Creative Writing at University College Dublin. Her Travel Award project, an exploration of the 31 sea areas of the Shipping Forecast, is featured on RTÉ and BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 6. In addition, she curates the ECHOES festival, programmed International Literature Festival Dublin 2025, and contributes on arts, culture and entertainment to the Irish Times, Irish Independent and the Brendan O’Connor show on RTÉ Radio 1.
