Ed Bennett

Originally from Bangor, Ed Bennett is the first composer-in-residence at the CCI. The Northern Irish artist takes his inspiration from the ‘surprise’ in music and traverses the boundaries between genres, allowing minimalist, contemporary, and classical influences to interact in his work. The RTE National Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra and BBC Symphony and Philharmonic orchestras are among those who have performed his large-scale orchestral works and he has also composed solo and ensemble pieces.
