Born in Sligo, Eamon Sweeney is a writer and broadcaster living and working in Ireland. He is the author of two novels Waiting for the Healer (1998) and The Photograph (2000) as well a radio and a stage play. A sporting aficionado, he has also written non-fiction books such as There’s Only One Red Army (1997) and Munster Hurling Legends (2003). He is a frequent reviewer with the Sunday Tribune and is well known for his broadcasting with RTE on a range of subjects.
