David Coonan

David Coonan is a musician and composer based in Dublin. He has composed for multiple contexts, including music for concerts, opera, theatre, dance, and film installations. Recent and upcoming work includes Dēmos – a music and dance project conceived in collaboration with choreographer Liz Roche, for Liz Roche Company and Crash Ensemble – and Horse Ape Bird – a new youth opera for Irish National Opera and Music Generation, written with playwright Dylan Coburn Gray. While at the CCI, David is starting work on a new multi-movement composition for piano, video, actor, and electronics, titled Twenty Visions of a Hidden Traveller.
