Conor Caldwell

Conor Caldwell is a fiddle player, researcher, teacher and composer of Irish music who performed worldwide with the folk group Craobh Rua until 2019.

He released an album called ‘North’ with Danny Diamond in 2016 and his debut solo, ‘To Belfast’, was recorded in 2018. He has a long-standing relationship with the Duncairn Centre in north Belfast, where he performs regularly.

During his residency, he will write new arrangements that explore the influence of early 20th-century dance hall music on traditional Irish music.
