Cian McConn is a visual artist and performer whose multimedia practice incorporates image-making, performance and collaboration. He works with concepts of identity, persona and the performance of the self in relation to gender and community, and is currently conducting research on queer representation and modes of survival.
While in residency at CCI, Cian will explore the mythology of Paris as a site of refuge for exiled and queer artists. His initial focus will be on James Baldwin and Samuel Beckett adopting Paris as their home
