Christopher McMullan

Christopher McMullan is a visual artist and the recipient of the Recent Graduate Award at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios in Dublin. He uses extraction, distillation, and preservation of materials to recalibrate perception of materiality. During his residency at CCI, he will focus his research on the sensorial aspect of Irish movement and migration. Working with the archivists to better understand the material constructs of the old Collège des Lombards - home to the Irish collegiate community for a century before moving to the Irish College - he will work with olfaction, sound and touch to recount speculative and resonating histories of the space.
