Christopher Kissane

Christopher Kissane has written extensively on the histories of food, migration, and citizenship. His residency at the CCI sees him pursuing a series of essays on how cities can be viewed through their food. From pork-free school lunches to controversies over ‘authenticity’ and ‘cultural appropriation’, food provides a fascinating way to explore Parisian interactions with past and present, home and abroad, ‘us’ and ‘them’.
