Cecilia Danell is a Swedish-born, Galway-based artist working with painting, film and installation. She explores ideas about wilderness and solitude and how the yearning for an authentic life may be no more than a construct. Danell was selected for 'RHA Futures' in 2018 and has been exhibited at the RHA Ashford Gallery and at Kevin Kavanagh Gallery. She will use her time in Paris to research the work of the Surrealists and the Psychogeography movement in order to strengthen her own research methods.
