Cathal Cleary

Cathal Cleary is a theatre director based in Ireland and London. He has worked for companies such as Druid, Young Vic, The Abbey and Donmar Warehouse and has directed eight award-winning productions since 2017. He has his own theatre company, Mommo, and received the Arts Council’s Theatre Bursary in 2020. In Paris, Cathal will work on a new theatre script based on Sinéad O’Connor’s album 'How About I Be Me' while studying the life and works of Eileen Gray, Sophie Calle and ORLAN to inform the design of the play.
