Annie Ryan

Since founding The Corn Exchange theatre company in 1995, Annie Ryan has created a multi-award-winning repertoire ranging from re-imaginings of classics to celebrated original works in collaboration with writer Michael West. She is now embarking on a new journey in film and is currently developing a range of work for both stage and screen.

Ryan’s residency in Paris will give her precious time to nurture her skills as a writer, focusing on a project about her mother’s experience as a young nun escaping the convent in 1960s America.
