Adomas Juška

Adomas Juška is a young director who has attracted critical attention. Prior to his graduation in 2019, Adomas made his debut at the Youth Theatre with a play entitled 'Švejk', based on the novel by Jaroslaw Hašek. Shortly afterwards, he presented two other plays based on prose works: 'Fictions', based on the writings of Jorge Luis Borges, and 'Frère du sommeil', based on the novel by Robert Schneider. Many Lithuanian theatre professionals see the young director as a successor to the style and ideas of Eimuntas Nekrošius, one of the greatest contemporary Lithuanian theatre directors and Adomas' teacher at the Academy of Music and Theatre. In his plays, Adomas Juška uses symbols and metaphors, preferring action to words.
