Abigail O’Brien

Abigail O’Brien is the current President of the Royal Hibernian Academy. In her artistic practice she uses photography, sculpture, video, sound and hand-made embroidery, and her work is held in collections including The Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, The Caldic Collection in Rotterdam, The Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, The Gemeentmuseum in the Hague, and the Centro National des Artes in Mexico. While in Paris, she is meeting and documenting the work of ‘les petites mains’, skilled specialists who embellish the clothing of Haute Couture fashion houses such as Christian Dior.
