Song recital by Alice Ungerer

Collages

In this lunchtime recital of voice and piano, French soprano Alice Ungerer responds to the work of her great-uncle Tomi Ungerer. Having trained in Leipzig under Carola Guber, Martin Petzold and Regina Werner-Dietrich, she recently made her debut at the Leipzig Opera House singing Bach’s Magnificat.

She will perform Three Early Songs by the American George Crumb, cabaret songs by English composer Benjamin Britten, German operetta from the 1930s, Lieder by Schumann on the theme of exile and forgotten ariettas by Claude Debussy.
