February — March 2026
Noeline Kavanagh is an award-winning artistic director, concept creator and transdisciplinary artist.
Their work is immersive, dynamic and participatory, it encompasses large-scale spectacle, theatre, installation, film, parade, and community celebration. Their work process is the exploration and extraction of dynamic image from texts and the integration of visual image into their writing, directing, and design concepts.
Noeline's work is critically acclaimed and has toured to Europe, Australia, Asia, and the United States.
Noeline is currently working on a visually dynamic theatrical adaptation of The Conference Of The Birds by Attar of Nispahur (Premiere in 2027). This poem is a magnificent allegorical tale about the soul's search for meaning. The poet recounts the perilous journey of the world's birds to the faraway peaks of Mount Qaf. Attar's Beguiling anecdotes and humour intermingle the sublime with the mundane, the spiritual with the worldly.
During their stay at the CCI, Noeline will dive into the poem, explore narrative structures, excavate visual design concepts and adapt it for performance.
