Voici les "Guidelines for applicants"
Tout candidat doit être de nationalité irlandaise ou résident en Irlande.
Artists in residence have been appointed on an annual basis since the Centre Culturel Irlandais was inaugurated in October 2002. Through the residencies and its diverse cultural programme, the Centre Culturel Irlandais showcases Ireland's dynamic contemporary culture on an international stage.
Who can apply
Applicants must be Irish citizens or normally resident on the island of Ireland, with professional involvement in creative practice.
How to apply
The call for applications opens mid-November 2021.
Please read the terms and conditions for CCI residencies and partner-supported residencies below.
A clear indication of the focus of the residency will be required together with a record of professional achievement: details of publications, exhibitions, performances, compositions, prizes, awards and related aspects of practice, as well as experience of other residencies. Visual artists must have had at least one solo exhibition and writers one published work.
Any familiarity with French culture and language should be indicated.
When to apply
The deadline for applications is at the beginning of January each year for residencies running from September of the same year to June of the following year. Applicants will be notified of the outcome at the end of March.
Terms and Conditions
- The residency is open to practitioners in all art forms, within the limits of the facilities available in the Centre.
- The bursary covers travel and accommodation in the Centre Culturel Irlandais. The artist is expected to spend the period agreed in the Centre.
- Each resident artist will receive a stipend of €750 per month.
- Artists may apply for a second residency on the understanding that they will be offered accommodation and travel ONLY.
- The artist in residence may be asked to participate in the cultural programme of the Centre Culturel Irlandais.
- This programme of residencies begins in September 2021 and runs until August 2022. In the event that travel restrictions due to COVID still apply during this period, residencies may have to be postponed but will be honoured regardless.
We are delighted to be pursuing our partnerships with Irish cultural organisations to support the 2021/22 residency programme. CCI and the partner organisations share the costs of month-long residencies in CCI enabling the Centre to increase the number of residencies it can offer. All applicants should fulfil the general criteria for CCI residencies as well as a number of more specific criteria. Applying for one of the partner-funded residencies does not exclude you from being considered for a general CCI residency in your chosen field.
