Visits of the Historical Archives and the Old Library

An exceptional heritage to discover.

The CCI invites you to visit the Historical Archives and the Old Library, which represents more than four centuries of Irish presence in Paris. Visitors will be able to discover a selection of rare archival material tracing the history of the Collège des Irlandais, founded in 1578 in Paris. Letters, lists of names, period documents, maps and incunabula... This heritage evokes the lives of the students, religious figures and intellectuals who made this place a cultural and spiritual link between Ireland and France. These visits are also an opportunity to (re)discover the history of the Centre Culturel Irlandais, heir to this rich educational and cultural tradition.
