Featuring eight traditional musicians from Dublin (including two sets of siblings), The Bonny Men have grown up playing music together and have matured into becoming the leading traditional Irish folk group of a generation. The Bonny Men’s music and song is rooted in the deep tradition of Irish traditional music which they have interpreted, explored and developed. Since their formation in 2011 they have toured extensively around the world and have released three studio albums to critical acclaim.

Their latest album, The Broken Pledge, was originally released in January 2020 in Dublin and was extremely well received resulting in two nominations at the RTÉ Folk Awards. The Broken Pledge is a symbol of the band’s individual mastery and innovative arrangement selections which respectfully push the boundaries of Irish traditional music into unique and unexplored territories.
